Welcome to our school website. We hope you will find it useful, interesting and informative. Ysgol Gynradd Brynsaron is situated in the rural community of Saron, in the Llandysul area. Our school is an integral part of our community and through parental partnership we promote an environment which enables our pupils to be confident, happy, 21st Century Citizens of Wales, equipped for life long learning in an ever changing world.

Approximately 45 pupils are on the school register. It is classified as a Category A school, providing education to pupils in the local and wider community, between the ages of 3-11. Welsh is the main language used in the Nursery and Foundation Stage (3-7 year old). In Key Stage 2 (7-11 year old) the English language is integrated, aiming to ensure that all pupils are fully bilingual by the end of Year 6, in preparation for secondary education.

Ysgol Gynradd Brynsaron is a close-knit and caring community, ensuring a happy and safe environment for all. The dedicated teachers and staff are committed and conscientious; working tirelessly to offer a variety of experiences and a vast amount of opportunities to all learners.

Ysgol Gynradd Brynsaron provides high quality teaching and learning. Pupils are encouraged to take pride in their work – aiming for success and reaching for the stars. We ensure equality with access to an extensive and diverse curriculum, offering a variety of skills to all individuals, e.g. Literacy, Numeracy and Digital Competency. We strive to nurture and develop our pupils to their full potential as independent, lifelong learners.

This is an exciting time in education, where the Welsh Government from September 2017 is introducing a new curriculum which focuses on a holistic approach – ‘Successful Futures’. Click here to find out more.

The school motto summarises what we strive for:

“Cerddwn law yn llaw i gopa’r bryn”

(We shall walk hand in hand to the hilltop)
